Using MultiPurposeWoman is easy - maybe a bit convoluted but still simple. The site's purpose is to facilitate sharing among women. So there's lots of words - lots of prompts - lots of questions and links. Follow them as you feel inclined.

Facilite sharing among mature women

What do I mean when I say mature women? Can an adult female not be a mature woman? Does it matter to the facilitation of sharing if people who visit the site consider themselves girls, women, gurrls, gurls, wymen, or use some other term? Maybe. Maybe not. What difference does the wording make? Well, words do matter.

So let me answer my own question by saying, YES! it does matter to me who visits and participates at MultiPurposeWoman.

I'm looking for kindred. That doesn't mean that I'm looking to gather only people who have the same views as I currently hold. It doesn't mean that I'm interested in only women of a certain age or other demographic. It means that I'm actively on the look out for people, especially female people, who have some things in common with me.

The primary commonalities I'm seeking are curiosity and open-mindedness. Why “especially female”? That's something I'm willing to explore. For now I know that when I enjoy fiction, and other written words, I'm most often drawn to and inspired by the words of women.

Who cares what one mature woman from Louisville, Ky thinks?

That's as good a question as any. I care for one and people ask me for advice all the time so at least a few more people care. I'm an idea generator and some of what I think could be useful to you and/or someone you know. Some of what I think and write could prompt you to think and/or write and/or move something forward.

Think of the MultiPurposeWoman site as a spring board, a point of departure, a portal through which you can explore everyday life. You'll meet others here. Many of those others will have something useful to offer you and many could benefit from what you have to say. So post. Be open, be honest, be useful, but never be intentionally hurtful.
