Creative Recovery Sage Sites about Hobbies and Healing
This is the Sage Sites listing for the Creative Recovery life area of MultipurposeWoman.
Sage Sites are websites MultiPurpose Woman, Gwendolyn L. Kelly, has selected as worthy of sharing with other mature women interested in personal growth.
Each MultiPurpose Woman life area has a different Sage Sites listing specific to the life area's main topic. No matter the specific topic, these websites offer useful free advice, inspiration, and other resources to help women who are into personal growth, self improvement, and self esteem building.
These sage sites are a great way for a busy woman to virtually meet people who are happy, productive, intelligent and willing to share tips about happiness and personal growth.
The sites will open in a new window.
SMITH Magazine
- "... a storytelling community: a place to read, write, and share stories.... a home for storytelling, with a focus on personal narrative."
Check out the 6 word memoirs.
Gilda's Club
- cancer support for families in remembrance of funny woman Gilda Radner
Modern Matriarch
- A blog for writers. Literary Essays, blogs, advice for women. Lots of information for
feminist artists.
Hack Yourself
- To Hack something simply means to tweak it so it works for you. Hanking yourself makes a lot of sense. If you hack yourself you'll live at a maximum happiness level.
Sew Fast Sew Easy
- Learn to sew, knit, crochet through online videos and articles. It's how I learn a lot of new hobbies. I purchased a video and book for my sister for Christmas. I'll have her report back about her experience.
Peer Spirit
- Christina Baldwin is the author of one of my favorite books, Life's Companion.
Ravenlea's Place
- Katherine E. Rabenau aka Ravealea is the hostess. She's agoraphobic, has healing hands, and channels a healing sound.
The combination of reiki and agoraphobia are what caught my attention. She reminds me of a character in a novel I keep trying to write.
A useful, unique feature of Ravenlea's Place?
The concept of “long distance Reiki”. The phrase made me laugh. I'll have to read more about it. It sounds like an oxymoron. I thought reiki had to involve hands touching the body.
Also, she does a “mystery link of the week”.
How do I think the site can be useful to others?
Katherine aka Ravenlea is very open about her fears and still obviously accomplishes a lot. She's a model of empowerment and she covers a wide range of techniques for relaxation and well-being.
