Rachel McAdams Interview possibility
If MultiPurposeWoman were conducting a Rachel McAdams interview it would be about living green. No that's not the title of her next movie, it's a cause she's passionate about.
Along with two friends, Rachel McAdams has started a website - Green Is Sexy dot org. The site is full of green tips and information about ways we can make a positive impact on the environment.
A website review of GreenIsSimple.org
Green Is Simple dot org is primarily about sharing simple green tips. You will find lots of well written informative mini-articles about tweaking your life so you are living well while reducing your carbon footprint.
There's eleven categories of little tips + a whole section devoted to more substantial ways to start living a more sustainable life. The site is well designed which makes learning new things that much more enjoyable.
Plus they've made it easy for you to share tips with your friends through facebook, twitter, email, digg, and del.icio.us. There's a new tip everyday. You can even submit tips of your own to share.
Why does green need to be sexy?
So back to that Rachel McAdams interview. Here's a few questions I'd really like to ask her.
- Who writes all those useful green tips?
- What kind of bike do you ride?
- How'd you'd meet Megan and Didi?
- Why isn't it enough to do the right thing? Why do we also need to be
convinced that doing a little part to slow down the destruction of
mother earth is sexy? Is it? It's the right thing to do. It's the least
we can. Why does it need to be sexy?
- Pee on top? really? That tip is gross and unsanitary. Do you really want to risk the chance of back splash? If the person who used the tolit before you was too nasty to flush ... okay, this is as much of a rant as a question & it was under "for laughs" but ... really.
Green Living Question for us all
Even
when green is grubby shouldn't we strive towards it anyway? Just say/think, "YES!" try it and you'll soon believe and do it when it's sexy and when it just needs to be the way you live.
Yes, I know the "concept" of not being super greedy and wasteful had to get a cute moniker
("green") before many of us would even listen/learn/read about it but a lot of us are ready now to start small and build on what we learn and on our new experiences.
