I keep meaning to write reviews of different food products. I keep saving the packaging to remind myself. Here's a list ...
This might be a good time to implement my one-word reviews!
- Carrot Soup: Creamy Roasted Carrot Soup by Pacific Natural Foods (+ gluten free)
- Ready-to-Eat Tofu: Sesame Ginger by Pete's Tofu2Go (+ great tasting, +firm, + perfectly prepared, + good cold and heated, - Whole Foods stopped carrying it :-(
- Chicken Sausage: #1 Sun-Dried Tomato & Basil, #2 Spinach & Feta, Organic Chicken Sausage by Hans'All Natural, (+ no nitrates, + fully cooked, + pork free, + no artificial ingredients, - $5.99 for 4, I think that was on sale)<>I'm making a tool that writes 1,000,000 recipes using this sausage brand.
- Soup: Chicken & Sausage Gumbo by Progresso (+ a bit spicy, + 260 calories for entire 19 oz can, + available at "regular" grocery stores versus Whole Foods, etc)
- Microwaveable Brown Rice: Steamed Sprouted Brown Rice by Annie Chun's (- I don't remember it being tasty, + quick way to have brown rice, + gluten free)
- Hot Cereal: Brown Rice Grits by Arrowhead Mills (+ tasty, + cooks in 5 minutes, + gluten free, + reasonably priced, ++)
- Eggs: grade A, Large, brown eggs by Eggland's Best (+cage free, + vegetarian fed hens, +25% less saturated fat than regular eggs)
- Entree: Delhi Saag (Indian style spinach & mustard greens)by Jyoti Natural Foods This is one of my all time favorite foods! (+ heat and serve, + spicy, + extra tasty, + vegetarian)
- Nutrition Bar: #1 cashew pecan, #2 blueberry noni superfood nutrition bars by Think Products. Read my product review at AllConsuming.
I want to learn more about chocolate. Cocoa content, antioxidants, how it's made, the issues around the plantation where it's harvested, its medicinal properties. There's so much to know beyond I like it.
- Chocolate: Cherries & Almonds in Dark Chocolate by Chocolove (+ love poem inside wrapper, + 55% cocoa content, + diary free, + lots of interesting and useful information on the wrapper, - need more almonds)
- Chocolate: extra dark with cranberries, blueberries, & almonds by Hersheys's (+ 60% cacao, + widely available, - contains milk, - contains high fructose corn syrup)
- Nutrition Bar: Chocolate Mint by Maya (+ gluten free, + dairy free, + chocolaty, + organic cacao, - a bit gritty tasting)
Some non-food items:
- Dietary Supplement: Total Effects 7x Beautiful Skin & Wellness Multivitamin by Olay (- expensive, - I didn't see the promised results)
- Facial Cloths: Cleanses, exfoliates, moisturizes, Target Brand
- Light Bulbs: 5 Year Long Life Energy Smart Bulbs by GE. (- I don't understand their claim that 15 watt = 60 watt, - I think some of ours have already gone out, I need to start dating them)
