The poll is extensive. It includes all the characters readers like me can't get enough of and even one I haven't met yet despite being on book #15! The poll includes plenty of actors to chose from.
The only little draw back is I'm more of a reader than a movie-goer or TV-watcher so many of the actors listed I can't place. There's a name but I don't know what they look like. There are links to images deeper in the site but I need the pictures with the names to make an informed decision.
So I'm adding pictures here; I suspect MisterPoll doesn't support images very easily. Darla are you kidding? Reba McEntire??? as Eve Dallas? How would that work?
TBR: If you could cast your favorite characters for a movie, who would play them? For example, who do you envision as Roarke? (or Tory Bodeen or Cade Lavelle)
NR: I never play this game. This is primarily because I don't see my characters as other people. They are who they are. But...if Mel Gibson or Harrison Ford or David Duchovney might be interested in playing one of my guys, and would like to have me run lines with them, I'd be happy to oblige.
Lieutenant Eve Dallas from Feeney's point-of-view, the first physical description given of her:
She was young for her rank, barely thirty, with wide brown eyes that had never had a chance to be naive. Her doe-brown hair was cropped short, for convenience rather than style, but suited her triangular face with its razor-edge cheekbones and slight dent in the chin.
She was tall, rangy, with a tendency to look thin, but Feeney knew there were solid muscles beneath the leather jacket. ...(Naked in Death, pg 4)"

Who should play Roarke?
Computer data on Roarke: black hair, blue eyes, 6'2", 173 pounds. - Eve's interpretation of the image the computer displayed with the description:
.... He was almost ridiculously handsome: the narrow, aesthetic face; the slash of cheekbones and sculpted mouth. Yes, his hair was black, but the computer didn't say it was thick and full and swept back from a strong forehead to fall inches above broad shoulders. His eyes were blue, but the word was much too simple for the intensity of color or the power in them.(Naked in Death, pg 18)
Here's a 2-minute video with sound of Roarke possibilities: submitted to google video by "autorasenlasombra
Who should play Commander Whitney?
Whitney's smile widened. He had a good, ordinary face, probably the one he was born with. But when he smiled and meant it, the flash of white teeth against the cocoa-colored skin turned the plain features into the special. (Naked In Death, pg 24)
Who should play Mavis?
