Gwen's HomeBistro Story

One label you can slap on me is "empty nester". My only daughter is a junior in college in another city.

Additionally, my partner is a long-distance truck driver. Long story short; I eat many a dinner alone. (Well, our dog is here so technically I'm not alone.)Many of these meals were random fat foods I'd picked up on the way home.

Good thing/bad thing: my partner is likely to drop in without notice at most any time and wonder, out loud, what there is to eat. He even has the nerve during these surprise "visits" to want a full and satisfying meal. He'd also like it in 30 minutes of less. (My leftover fried rice seldom made him happy!)

I hate to disappont so I started looking around for ways to effortlessly produce a tasty, healthy, good-looking meal.

After a lot of false starts, I started goggling prepared food and related. I visited a host of websites and finally found HomeBistro.

The bad part - I was overwhelmed by their selection so it took me a while to decide on an initial order. I wanted a selection to test different items AND I wanted to keep the order under $75 until I knew I enjoyed the taste.

Good thing is HomeBistro has samplers that kept me from thinking overly hard about "the what" and the samplers are a good value. I consider my HomeBistro orders food gifts for myself. No more fast food, veggie-less dinners for me.
