Famous artists list after list after famous artist list
There are some
artists who names are common knowledge. Why list them here? They're a
starting point. It's easier to help people learn something new if you
start with something they already know. That's how the mind works - it
connects the new to the old in order to grow.
Another reason to
make a famous artist list is simply to call their names. Just because an
artist has their "15 minutes of fame" doesn't mean that they should be
sent to rot in pop culture hell. In fact, being famous in some art
circles doesn't mean you're well known at all.
Anyway, there will
be many of these lists at MultiPurpose-Woman. I'll make small lists
to not overwhelm myself or you. So when you see names on a famous
artist list Google them. You'll see some famous feminist art and some
not so famous feminist art. Either way your life will be enriched.
