I'm a Barbara Sher Fan!

I've been a Barbara Sher fan since I first read Wishcraft: How to Get What You Really Want in the late 1980s. I actually remember the day I walked to the bookstore pushing my daughter in her stroller to the Waldenbooks in the Louisville Galleria. The title and subtitle of the book really lifted my spirits that day and later actually reading the book confirmed my suspicions that I was actually sane and not some kooky woman.

A few books and years later Barbara Sher helped me label myself as a scanner. This was/is useful information and as her other books did it encouraged me to stop and take a look at how I was living my life. It also motivated me to make some changes. The book is called Refuse to Choose. It's an experience worth having. Buy the book and get started. There's even a forum so you can virtually meet other self-identified scanners.

Face Book meet up with Barbara Sher

One day soon I'm going to have my very own personal chat with Barbara via skype. It's going to be all about me and what I'm doing, not doing, want to do. 

The opportunity came about because Barbara and I were on Face Book at the same time.  (A lot of others were there also.) I responded to her query about rather there was any interest in having individual, short, focused, identify-your-dream-and-get started-doing-it session. Barbara's on Face Book quiet a bit.

What's not to like about a person who states that "It is her mission to save as many geniuses as she can before she leaves this planet".
